The Map Skills series of books for young homeschoolers is outstanding. Students work with real maps, learning new skills that gradually accumulate. Our family uses them from the early grades until the student has completed all the books. The homeschool teacher finds herself learning new things about world geography, climate, and all the myriad things a map can convey alongside her students.
