- HOW DO WE USE CONTENT CONTRIBUTED BY USERS?
Users may submit comments, feedback, testimonials, photos, descriptions, videos, suggestions, or other content (“Contributions”) to CHC. These Contributions may be submitted to CHC through the Contact Us and Submit a Photo! forms on our Site, through social media, in response to a survey, by email, by mail, or by any other form of communication currently used or later developed. Information we are bound to protect under our Privacy Policy—such as your full name, contact information, physical address, order history, and payment details—does not count as a Contribution.
When you submit a Contribution to CHC, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You thereby grant CHC a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and non-exclusive license to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, and/or publicly display said Contribution. CHC will be entitled to publicly display said Contribution on our website, in our catalog, on social media accounts, in printed books, in promotional materials, and in any other medium currently used or later developed.
- You are the sole creator and owner of the Contribution. If you are submitting a photo that includes individuals besides yourself, you have received permission to share the photo from any adults in the photo and from a parent/guardian of any children in the photo.
- To preserve your privacy, we will not attach personally identifying information to your Contribution when we publish or display it. We may accompany your Contribution with your first name and general location (state or country). If you mention someone’s name in your Contribution, we will omit the name and replace it with a general term such as “my son.”
- CHC is under no obligation to compensate you or provide any form of reimbursement.
- CHC may edit and/or excerpt your Contribution for the sake of clarity, to preserve your privacy, to correct spelling and grammar errors, to shorten a long Contribution, or for similar purposes. In no case will we edit the Contribution so as to change its meaning or attribute opinions to you that are different from those expressed in your original Contribution. A photo Contribution may be photo-edited to preserve your privacy, to improve the photo’s appearance (lighting, exposure), to remove distracting details in the background, to update the front covers of CHC products pictured in the photo, or for similar purposes.
8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information, but we cannot guarantee 100% security.
We aim to protect your personal information, but no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly access your information.
